Adaptation for Green Jobs Programme.

Climate Policy Initiative Report 2017/2018 highlights that 93% of climate finance mobilized went to climate mitigation rather than the much needed adaptation. This is based on the fact that the regions that contribute the least to the impacts of climate change are the ones in dire need of adaptation yet there is not enough financing for them. These regions also has seen a higher youth demographic than any the rest of the population. Coupled with unemployment this programme will support by creation of upto 360 green jobs for young people in the various regions to implement climate adaptation in the respective regions. It will be implemented with the support of the community country managers in the respective regions.
